We first met Cairns songstress Emma Louise at the QSong Awards in 2005. In fact we sponsored the Secondary School category that she won that year. We always had an inkling that she was destined for big things and last night at the 2011 Queensland Music Awards she took out three gongs for her recent work. Not only did her song 'Jungle' earn her the Song of the Year and Pop Awards but '1000 Sundowns' also took out the Folk/Songwriter category. We're stoked for Emma and wish her well.

Also bringing the North Queensland flavour at the Awards our good mates The Medics took home the Indigenous Award. In what was to prove to be a big day for the band they also inked a new record deal with Footstomp/Warner for their next record. We're so proud to have helped these guys along the way and will be cheering and hollering from the sidleines as they take on the next chapter of their career. Nice work lads.
