Starving Kids Turns Five!

In late 2004, four mates got together with the dream of starting a record label to assist developing artists. That record label has since morphed into Starving Kids, a multifaceted non-profit organisation providing education, opportunities and support to young people through the music industry.

Over the past five years, Starving Kids has run its own record label, opened an all-ages live music venue, developed the Stuff The Stocking charity concert into a major event, educated disadvantaged young people through their Sound Futures program and is opening Queensland's first music industry-oriented high school in early 2010.

To celebrate, they're holding their fifth birthday bash at Brisbane's best new bar, X & Y, featuring performances from artists the organisation has helped at various points during their career.
